Terms of use

Last updated: October 18, 2026

1. General

Use of the SpectroForensicLab website ("SFL", "the site") is subject to these terms, and browsing the site means you accept them.

2. Status of the information on the site

The content of this site is general information about the field and about SFL's services. It is not legal advice, it is not an expert opinion, and it is no substitute for examining specific material. The figures, examples and sample report on the site are for illustration only, and no conclusion about any case should be drawn from them.

3. Engagement

An enquiry through the site or a first call does not create an engagement. An engagement to provide services is formed only by a written agreement setting out the scope of the examination, the timeline and the fee. The fee never depends on the content of the report or on the outcome of the proceeding.

The preliminary review is free of charge. It is an initial assessment only, is not an expert report, and must not be relied on in proceedings.

4. Intellectual property

All content on the site, including the text, design, figures, SpectraFrame screenshots, the logo and the names SpectroForensicLab and SFL, belongs to SFL or to its respective rights holders and is protected by law. It may not be copied, distributed or used commercially without written permission. You're welcome to share links to pages on the site.

The fonts on this site (Heebo, IBM Plex Mono and Alfa Slab One) are licensed under the SIL Open Font License.

5. Links to other sites

The site may link to third-party sites and services. We are not responsible for their content, their availability or their privacy practices.

6. Liability

The site is provided as is. We take care that the information on it is accurate and current, but we don't guarantee that the site will always be available or free of errors. To the extent the law allows, SFL is not liable for any damage arising from the use of the site or from reliance on the general information on it.

7. Privacy

How personal information is used is described in the privacy policy and the cookie policy.

8. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed solely by the laws of the State of Israel. The competent courts in Tel Aviv-Jaffa have exclusive jurisdiction.

9. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. The current version will be published on this page with the date it was updated.
